Did you know the Thoroughblades hockey team is at Rupp Arena? Also the Thoroughblades are the farm team for the Sharks pro hockey team. The team nickname for the Thoroughblades is the T-blades. Their cool mascot is Lucky the horse. The team colors are green, purple, black and white. Their awesome coach is Roy Summers. Some of my favorite players are Chris Armstrong #32, Matt Bradley #28, and finally Mike Craig #12. The next sport hit in Kentucky is Horseracing. Three famous races are the Kentucky Derby, The Breeders Cup, and the Oaks. Did you know that there has been many famous people to go to the Derby? Some examples are the famous Kentucky basketball coach Rick Pitino, another example is Sylvester Stallone, also the famous baseball player Babe Ruth. Some famous jockeys are Pat Day , and Patricia Cooksey. Two good places to go watch horseracing are Keenland which is in Lexington, and Church Hill Downs which is in Louisville. I hope you have learned some information from this web site. Mr. Quisenberry's 4th grade class
