GATE TO GOAL

  

Horse racing is a  popular sport in Kentucky. We have Keeneland & the Red Mile. They are both in Lexington. Then there is Church Hill Downs which is in Louisville & that's where the Kentucky Derby is held. (When the race is going on it's the most famous 2 minutes in sports history!!!!)

This is a picture of a hockey player for the Thoroughblades. He is the star player for the T-blades. (We call them T-blades for short) They are our only pro team in Kentucky. Some other players are Mike Craig, Mark Smith,  Garrett Burnett, Jon Colemon & Chris Armstrong.       

 

The T-Blades mascot is a thoroughbred whose name is Lucky.

(that's how they got the name Thoroughblades)
