It’s looks…

They have yellow blossoms on the long green stem even though it looks like a flower it is a weed. The yellow blossoms look like the bright, shiny sun. This flower is not like any flower at all, the peddles do not sprout out like a rose they spread out every were they look like little beads spreading every were.

Where its located…

Pastures… also located along roadsides and in North America, and a little

in Europe. It is also located on the Kentucky State Flag and in moist woods.

In swamps and peat logs and sometimes in backyards.

Why it was chosen…

It was seen everywhere, on Kentucky’s flag, the Kentuckians weren’t going to let the government pick their state flower to the adopted in 1926. It also as honey in it for the bees.
