THE KENTUCKY FLAG      

Description

The Kentucky Flag has a navy blue background. In the middle of the flag there is the state seal. Inside the state seal there are two men shaking hands. The men shaking hands mean, ‘The old Meeting the new’.

Around the middle inside of the seal there is the state motto, ‘United We Stand Divided we Fall. The motto means, that when we work together we get things done, and when we don’t we won’t get anything done. Under the state seal there is a beautiful flower called, The Goldenrod. It’s tall stem is covered with gold petals. In Kentucky, almost every where you turn there is a beautiful Goldenrod ready to be seen. The Goldenrod was adopted March 16, 1928.

Above the state seal there their is the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Commonwealth means, For the good of all.
