The picture you see to the left is Kentucky’s state fish. It was adopted February 27 1956. The bass is between 15 and 18 inches long
To the left is Kentucky’s state horse. These horses are the fastest. The thoroughbred was adopted in 1996. These horses came from England. They are the only horses that run in the entire USA.
The picture you see to the left is Kentucky’s state seal. The seal is on the flag. Th e seal was adopted in 1792.
To the left is a picture of the state Butterfly. It is called the Viceroy butterfly. It was adopted on March 16, 1990. This butterfly looks much like the Monarch.
The picture you see to the left is Steven Foster. He wrote "My Old Kentucky Home", Kentucky’s state song. This song was assigned in 1853.
To the left you will see the Goldenrod. It is the state flower, but the Goldenrod is really a weed! It was adopted in 1926.
To the left is a picture of ‘The Bluegrass State’ It is Kentucky’s nickname. It gets its nickname from the grass blossoms that look blue when wind blows threw the grass.
This picture you see to the left is Kentucky’s state flag. The flag has the motto on it which is "United We Stand Divided We Fall"
The picture you see to the left is Kentucky's state wild animal the Gray Squirrel. The Gray Squirrel was adopted in 1968. The gray squirrel was commonly killed and eaten for food.
